Spanish-language Online Newspapers

Now that you're learning Spanish, you might as well put your new language skills to work! One of the best ways to do this is by reading online Spanish-language newspapers. While you may not understand much at first, you will begin to recognize more and more words. You will also recognize a lot of words that you haven't studied in class because they look like English words. After you read stories in these newspapers, consider going to the Spanish radio or Spanish TV pages and listening to/watching news broadcasts. You may be surprised at how well you are able to understand what is being reported in the newscasts once you are already familiar with the major news stories by reading these online newspapers!

Reading the news in Spanish will hopefully encourage you to continue to build your Spanish-language skills since it opens you to a whole new world of information sources!
